What I am up to lately...

I've been a wee bit busy with some jewelry fun lately... Getting some jewelry made for a market this coming weekend. Here are a few sneak peaks of what I am up to lately, enjoy! =)

Bits of my weekend...

We'd some splash pad fun during the past weekend with the kids. Euan loves spending time with his friends and wee cousin, Mya. They'd a blast at the park running around and getting wet, not to mention, the weather was just brilliant. =)

Snowball the Cat

It was exactly 3 years ago, Snowball left us and went to the Rainbow Bridge. We still miss him dearly and speak of him often as of he is still around. Scott often say, " Snowball was the coolest cat I'd ever met and he raised the standard of being a cool cat... there will be no other cat like him!" Scott is not even a cat person, to get him to say such words, Snowball was indeed the coolest cat! =)

Snowball, you are being missed dearly by all of us, always. RIP.

Baby Euan

Recently, I miss Euan being a baby a lot, I mean a lot. I can't stop looking at pics and videos we took of him when he was a baby. I miss his little feet, little fingers, baby scent, cooing, breastfeeding... I miss everything about him being a baby. I still can't believe he has already turned 3 1/2 -year-old and going to be 4-year-old this coming September! Where has all the time gone?

As a little 3-year-old, he is a caring and loving little boy. He always take care of his daddy and mummy. Not to mention, he loves his little cousin sister, Mya lots, and loves playing with her. He cares about the animal as well, often remind mummy to fill up and bird feeders for the birds and feed the squirrels who love coming to our garden. He also love helping mummy in the garden, especially when it comes to watering the plants. =)

Whenever he is being asked, "Euan, who do you love most? Daddy or mummy?" His answer is always the same, " Euan loves both daddy and mummy!" Those simple little words often make my day! =) All I want to say is, " Euan, mummy loves you to bits and thanks for being my lovely wee son!" ♥

If I have a daughter...

I would dress her up like Olivia! =) Olivia is a little girl who lives in a small town near Hannover, Germany and she was wearing her mummy's handmade hat and belt on Monday. Doesn't she look good in all her wee outfits? I just love her outfits, especially what she was wearing on Tuesday and Friday! =)

Bits of my weekend, Pt 2

On Sunday, we went to Mercer Arboretum and Botanic Gardens with my brother's family and friends. It's a nice wee jewel that tuck in the northeast of Houston and I think it's not even well-known among us, the Houstonians. It's great wandering among the spring blooms and beautiful tall trees. I would definitely go back again with the kiddos as they seemed to have such great joy running around and looking at all the different plants and wildlife. So, yes! I would go back in a heartbeat! =)

Bits of my weekend, Pt 1

We'd such great fun meeting up with friends and spent a lovely Saturday at Lake Conroe. =) It's the first time Euan went on a boat and he absolutely loved it, with the help from Uncle James, he even caught a fish! =) It was great fun, indeed.

Happiness is...

- Getting wild flowers from my wee son when he comes back from his bike ride
- Listening to my wee son telling me how much he loves me. He often says, " Mummy I love you so so much!" =)
- Getting a BIG hug from my wee son when I pick him up from school!

What can I say? I am the luckiest mum in the whole wide world, that's how my wee son makes me feel like, and he definitely brighten up my life. =)

Thank you, Euan and mummy loves you so so much too!

Have a brilliant weekend and I would love to hear about your happiness from you as well! =)

Mummy's Kiss

Via Douban

This morning when I was browsing through some pictures at one of the Chinese websites, this picture caught my eye instantly! It's such a great pic that captured the love between a child and his mum. A heartwarming picture, indeed.

The first day of Spring

Today is officially the first day of spring. Yes! I love spring. Spring to me means I can do as much gardening as I like, or spending time outdoor as much as I like without having to worry about the heat. =) Today, we have beautiful weather of a typical spring day and I spent the whole morning in my garden planting and weeding away. As for us Houstonian, spring is relatively short, it ends somewhere in the beginning of May. The beautiful spring weather will only last for weeks before the scorching-hot weather comes forcing us staying indoor. Since I did quite a lot of vegetable gardening this year, I am hoping my vegetable garden will do well despite the horrible heat we are going to have in the summer.

Here are what's blooming in my wee garden. I've added quite a few native plants to my back garden and hoping it will attract some humming birds and butterflies to the garden. Let's keep our fingers cross and see how they will turn out. =)

The little corners of my wee busy garden.

Music Monday- Yui Aragaki ~ ハナミズキ

It's has been a long time since I watched a heartwarming love story, Hanamizuki is definitely one of the good old-fashion romance that's worth watching. Check it out if you have time. What can I say? I have always been a hopeless romantic. =p

The theme song from the movie-Hanamizuki, sang by Yui Aragaki. I just love her beautiful voice. =)

It has been ages...

I have been MIS (missing in action) for quite a while. Hmmm.... to be exact it has already been more than a year! My cousin Eve keep teasing me I would be 35-year-old forever (as my last post was about my 35-year-old birthday) if I'm not going to update my blog soon. Oh well.... here I am, back again! I hope I will be updating my blog a bit more often from now on. =)

The Year of 2010 has been quite a busy year in our household as we'd done lots of traveling. I brought Euan to Malaysia in the summer to spend some time with my parents. We were there for about 3 months and we'd a great time meeting up with friends and family. After coming home from Asia, my dear friend, SY and my cousin Eve came to visit us, I took them galavanting around the state of Texas. And it was really fun! I mean tons of fun! Come on, How much more fun could you ask for when you have 3 women and 2 babies in the van driving around Texas? =p After our wee Texas trip, we went to New York City in the Fall and Scotland and Holland in the winter. It was absolutely brilliant meeting up with friends and family in all these different places. =)

Euan has started Pre-K a couple of weeks ago. I feel kind of weird having the whole house to myself during the day. As for the past two weeks, it has been a bit tough on us as Euan has never left my side since he was born. As a result, morning has been quite daunting in our household with a little boy who begged for not being sent to school; my heart broke everytime it happens. =( I often think to myself, "Am I doing the right thing sending him to school at this age?" Or should I wait for a little while and let him stay home 'til he turns 4? Hmm... we would have to see how things turn out after a while and hopefully everything will be ok once he get use to the idea of going to school. The bottom line is, I think I am the one who suffers more on separation anxiety when it comes to this issue, I can't believe my son has already turned three-and-a-half-year-old and he is going to school! =(

Oh well... I am sure things will work out fine in our household soon. =) Have a great weekend!
